Overview:
1st Joint Coordinating Committee was held at CISMID. President Padilla gave a opening address by showing the welcome to Japanese researchers and sympathy for the damages by 2011 Tohoku Earthquake. He also acknowledged all the support by JICA through this project. Mr. Nakano mentioned JICA activities for disaster mitigations and emphasized the importance to share those technologies between Peru and Japan. Ms. Bernuy appreciated for the involvement in JCC, and mentioned the important relationships between those countries. Ambassador Fukukawa mentioned the long-term relationships between Japan and Peru cooperation for disaster mitigation technologies.
Prof. Yamazaki, a leader of the project, explained the progress of the project, then Prof. Aguilar, Prof. Koshimura, Prof. Zavala, Prof. Miguel，and Mr. Bisbal explained the current status of the project．
Finally, Dr. Honkura gave the evaluation of the project，and Dean Pique gave the closure. During the break, we had a tour for CISMID facilities with Ambassador Fukukawa and took a group photo.
