Overview:
There was a exit seminar with Carlos and Rocio at Chiba University before finishing the short-term trainees by JICA. Prof. Nakai explained their training at Chiba University, and Rocio and Carlos gave presentation about geotechnical and geological information at Lima and the inversion analysis of shear wave velocity profile from surface waves, respectively.
Prof. Yamazaki asked the resolution of digital elevation model and suggested the collaboration study with Group 4. Ms. Tsukizoe asked the main focus during the short-term training and how that is used to fulfill the project objectives.
Prof. Nakai gave us a talk about the relationship between geotechnical structures and earthquake damages, and importance to implement these understandings into seismic disaster mitigation strategy.
