The 3rd Joint Coordination Committee meeting and related events in Lima

Overview:
Three and half years have passed since the startup of the JST-JICA Peru project.
In this occasion, the third Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting of the project was held in Lima, Peru.
On August 13, JICA Peru office representatives, JST observers from Japan,
and APCI and other Peruvian stakeholders gathered as well as project researchers from Japan and Peru at CISMID/UNI
and exchanged information on the progress of the project.
The next day of the JCC meeting, a vertical tsunami evacuation drill was carried out in La Punta,
Callao with the collaboration of SATREPS researchers, CISMID, INDECI, DHN, and the local authorities.
In the afternoon of August 14, a public symposium on earthquake and tsunami awareness was held at Navy School Auditorium in La Punta.
Other related activity, such as Training Course on remote sensing data analysis, was given at CONIDA by SATREPS researches to Peruvian young engineers.
